“The Poducers” tells the story of Max Bailystock, a financially restricted theatrical producer who can’t seem to make ends meet. Bailystock proposes a money-making scheme to his weasel accountant Leo Bloom – to raise an overestimated amount of money for a Broadway show and then pocket the difference – and together they go for it. Oh, their Broadway production: “Springtime for Hitler.”
